Barnana

The Barnana crew is something else! They're having fun and running an ethical business which is a great combination!

Barnana is also working to end food waste. They upcycle bananas and plantains that normally would be thrown away because they’re too “ugly” and make delicious snacks with them! Do you know that 20% of bananas never leave the farm because they’re “not perfect”? Barnana has upcycled over 13 million kilos of bananas so far in their bid to end food waste! And trust me … they’ve done some amazing things with them! Their snacks are fair-trade certified, organic, non-GMO, kosher, vegan, gluten-free and use only verified sustainable palm oil where palm oil is used. And, of course, all their products are free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Did I mention they’re incredibly delicious as well?

A proud certified B-Corp, they also participate in 1% for the planet and employ women and ethnic minorities in leadership positions (including the founders themselves), and are employee-owned. They pay their employees $15+/hour and offer employee-sponsored healthcare.
